Salman Burney is a seasoned business leader with extensive experience across the pharmaceutical, industrial, and investment sectors. He currently serves as a Director on the Board of Sindh Engro Coal Mining Company (SECMC) and holds board positions at Thal Limited and Agriauto Industries Limited. He also serves as Vice President & General Manager at GlaxoSmithKline Iran Ltd.

Previously, Mr. Burney was the Chief Executive Officer of GlaxoSmithKline Pakistan Ltd., Vice President of GlaxoSmithKline Afghanistan Ltd., and President of the Foreign Investors Chamber of Commerce & Industry, where he played a key role in strengthening investor relations and regulatory dialogue in Pakistan.

He began his career at ICI, where he held several leadership roles across its Chemicals and Fibres businesses, including Regional Personnel Manager for Africa and the Middle East, and General Manager for Agrochemicals and Seeds.

Mr. Burney holds a degree in Economics from the University of Cambridge and is a founding trustee of the Oxford & Cambridge Society Educational Trust, reflecting his long-standing commitment to education and leadership development.
