    Prof Junejo paid rich tribute

    MITHI – Wednesday, 5th August 2020: Speakers at a condolence reference organized by Thar Foundation on Wednesday paid rich tribute to Prof. Abdul Jabbar Junejo for his services to create a skilled workforce from most under-developed region of district Tharparkar. Prof. Abdul Jabbar Junejo who was Principal of the Government Poly-Technical College Mithi departed last week due to cardiac arrest. Due to Covid-19 restrictions, participation was restricted and they were facilitated to wear masks and sanitized before entering into the GPI Mithi venue. The participants included MNA Dr. Mahesh Malani, senior professors of the college, two elder family members of the deceased, local media, civil society, and his friends.

    The participants paid rich tribute to late Abdul Jabbar for his untiring effort to make GPI Mithi a leading technical institution of Sindh. A senior faculty member Mr. Partab specially referred to the support provided by Engro Powergen Thar Limited to uplift the institute. Dr. Mahesh Malani promised that the institute will be named after the late Principal. He appreciated and thanked for the support provided by EPTL and Thar Foundation for remembering the late Principal and his services to the region. Dr. Malani committed his full support to elevate the quality and credibility of the college.

    Naseer Memon, General Manager Thar Foundation welcomed and thanked all participants for joining and paying rich tribute to Prof Junejo. He also shared details of EPTL’s contribution to award 170 scholarships to Thari students to get technical education and come up as a technical workforce for the industry in Thar. Late Mr. Junejo’s family member, Dr. Abdul Qadir Junejo was of the view that Prof Junejo was a highly professional and knowledgable person who devoted his life for the betterment of Thar in the area of creating technical workforce. PTI leader Krishan Sharma, Prof Abdul Khaliq Junejo, Professor Anwar Junejo, Prof Partab Rai, Khaliq Nohrio, Karim Samejo, Mama Vishan Thari also spoke on the occasion, while Dr. Ashok Bakhtani of Thar Foundation moderated the event.
